Search Delta County Released Inmates

A search for Delta County released inmates begins by identifying the agency that actually held the person. A name missing from a current jail list does not establish release because the person may have bonded out, transferred to another jail, entered state or federal custody, or simply fallen outside a live display. This Delta County released inmate search explains how to obtain an affirmative release or transfer event, read the resulting record, check state and federal systems, and distinguish court action from the moment jail processing ended.

Understanding Delta County Released Inmate Records

Release means that one custodian ended a particular period of confinement. It does not always mean the person entered the community. Delta County Jail may record a bond release, time served, sentence completion, a court-ordered exit, or a transfer. A transfer to another county, TDCJ, the U.S. Marshals Service, or ICE ends Delta custody while another authority continues it.

A current roster, when one exists, answers who is held now. No official live Delta County roster was located in the research completed August 2, 2026. More importantly, a live roster is not a historical release source. The most reliable Delta County released inmate evidence is an affirmative booking-out or transfer entry held by the actual custodian. Court orders, status alerts, and agency searches can support that entry, but each answers a narrower question.

Key distinction: “Not here” is not a release reason. Ask for the event date, disposition, and destination recorded for the booking.

Ways Delta County Inmates Leave Custody

The wording on the source record matters. Terms that sound similar can lead to very different next steps, so preserve the custodian's label instead of reducing every exit to “released.”

Recorded eventWhat it meansWhere to verify next
Bond or personal bondThe jail processed an authorized release while the case may continue.Jail booking-out entry, then the bond and court cause.
Time served or sentence completeCustody may end under the judgment and credited time.Jail event paired with the judgment or commitment.
Court-ordered release or dismissalA judge or case outcome supplied authority, but another hold may remain.Court order plus the jail's completed release time.
TransferDelta custody ended and another custodian received the person.Delta transfer record and receiving facility record.
Parole or mandatory supervisionA state prisoner left confinement under TDCJ supervision.TDCJ, BPP result, release processing, and assigned parole office.
DischargeThe identified sentence or supervision term ended. The responsible agency's discharge or incarceration-history record.

Escape and death can also appear as custody-ending events, but they are not community releases. An ICE or USMS hold likewise points to another authority. Bond type, amount, and posting time can explain why release was authorized; the booking-out timestamp shows when the jail finished its process.

Fields in a Delta County Release Record

A useful request ties the release event to one booking. Full legal name and aliases help locate it, while date of birth should be supplied only when needed to separate similar names. The booking number is the strongest local identifier.

FieldWhat it shows
Name, aliases, and identifying dataWhich person the entry concerns and how the custodian distinguished the person.
Booking or intake numberThe particular custody episode, preventing confusion with an older arrest.
Arresting agency and booking timeWho initiated the custody path and when intake began.
Charges at bookingThe allegations recorded at intake, not a statement of final guilt.
FacilityWhere the person was actually booked or housed.
Release or transfer date and timeWhen that custodian recorded the booking as ended.
Disposition or reasonBond, time served, court order, transfer, or another literal event label.
Destination or receiving agencyWhether another jail, TDCJ, USMS, or ICE took custody.

A booking photograph may be tied to the same number, but it proves only that the image was associated with a booking. It does not establish disposition, current custody, or release. Property-return records can answer a separate practical question and have their own retention period.

Request Delta County Released Inmate Records

Texas Government Code Chapter 552 provides the public-information route for executive and local agency records. Address the request to the custodian that holds the existing document. An agency need not answer questions, research a case, or create a new timeline, so ask for named record types and a narrow date range.

  1. Call the Delta County Sheriff's Office at 903-395-2146 and confirm whether Delta booked the person, the booking number, and the sheriff's currently designated request method.
  2. Identify the person, aliases if relevant, approximate booking dates, and cause number when known.
  3. Ask for the public portions of the permanent jail-register entry and any retained booking-in, booking-out, commitment, transport, release, or transfer papers.
  4. Request the actual date and time, recorded disposition, and destination or receiving agency. Ask for electronic copies where they already exist.
  5. If part is confidential, ask the agency to redact it and release the remainder. Request a statement if no responsive record exists.

Section 552.221 requires prompt production. Ten business days is not a universal delivery deadline. If the body cannot produce records within that period, it must certify that fact and set a reasonable production date. The attorney-general ruling process has separate 10- and 15-business-day steps under §§552.301 and .302. Section 552.108 may protect law-enforcement material, while §552.108(c) preserves basic information about an arrested person, arrest, and crime.

Why Old Delta County Release Records Can Survive

Texas retention rules create a two-level strategy for an old booking. The PS4200-06 county jail register is permanent and includes identifying and intake information plus the reason and date of release or transfer. Detailed PS4200-10 booking-out, commitment, transport, transfer, and release papers have a minimum retention of two years after release or transfer. Property receipt and return records also have a two-year minimum, while listed PS4200-14 transfer papers have a one-year minimum after transfer.

The practical wording is to lead with “the permanent county jail register entry reflecting reason and date of release or transfer,” then add “all detailed papers still retained.” Minimum schedules do not force immediate destruction, and litigation or request holds can extend retention. Conversely, an expunction order can control access despite the ordinary schedule.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission public-safety schedule is the source for these record series. The successful manifest image below shows that official retention resource rather than an unsourced local feed.

Retention categories explain why the permanent register should lead an older Delta County request.

The schedule helps frame a precise request, but the sheriff still determines which responsive detailed papers remain and which portions may lawfully be released.

Find a Released Delta County Inmate

Begin with location, not an assumed release. Delta has no verified official recent-release feed, 24-hour list, 72-hour list, searchable booking archive, or sheriff jail app. The complete search therefore moves from the arresting agency to the actual custodian and then to the record system that matches the legal authority.

  1. Call Delta Sheriff with the name, approximate arrest date, and enough identifying data to avoid a same-name error. Ask whether Delta booked the person and where the person was delivered if it did not.
  2. Ask the identified jail for an affirmative release or transfer event, booking number, timestamp, disposition, and receiving agency.
  3. Use a written public-information request when durable proof or an older event is needed.
  4. Check the proper Delta court for the disposition, but pair it with the jail event when physical release is the question.
  5. Use TDCJ only if state custody or state parole or mandatory supervision exists. Use federal and immigration tools only for their own custody systems.

The absence of a Delta name can mean a transfer, a spelling mismatch, delayed data, or that the person was never booked locally. The focused Delta County Jail release guide covers the facility-specific call and record route.

Routing Delta County Release Record Questions After the 2026 Move

Effective May 1, 2026, sheriff administrative and public services moved to 30 Texas Highway 24. The relocation announcement said jail operations and dispatch stayed at the existing facility. That split matters when correcting a record, asking about custody, discussing property, or trying to determine where a person exits.

Call 903-395-2146 and state the purpose of the inquiry before directing a correction, custody, dispatch, or property question to an address. This avoids treating public services and jail operations as though they moved together.

Where Does Delta County Jail Release Inmates?

The new highway address is a sourced administrative and public-services location. It is not a sourced release door, family waiting area, property counter, or jail address. The May 2026 announcement expressly kept jail operations and dispatch at the prior facility, so a family member should not infer a pickup point from the office move.

No reliable public source supplied the precise release exit, release hours, weekend or holiday processing, property hours, or waiting instructions for a named booking. Call 903-395-2146 before traveling and ask where the specific matter is handled.

Before traveling: Ask whether the matter belongs with public records, jail custody, dispatch, property, or release pickup, then confirm the destination.

Delta County Court Records After Jail Release

The combined Delta County and District Clerk page says criminal records are not online. It gives a written-search charge of $5 per name per court and lists 200 W Dallas Avenue, Cooper, TX 75432, with telephone 903-395-4400. Identify whether the cause belongs to county misdemeanor court or district felony court, including the 8th or 62nd Judicial District shown on the cause.

Ask for the docket sheet, charging instrument, plea or verdict, judgment and sentence, dismissal order, deferred-adjudication or community-supervision discharge, revocation, mandate, or satisfaction paper that fits the case. A municipal payment search requiring a case number is not a complete name index. Nor should re:SearchTX be presumed complete for Delta criminal cases.

A judgment can prove sentence, and a dismissal or bond order can establish judicial authority. None proves the minute the jail completed processing or rules out another hold. Pair the court paper with the release or transfer event when the question is whether Delta County custody physically ended.

TDCJ Search for Delta County Released Inmates

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice applies only after a person enters state custody or TDCJ supervision. Its Inmate Information Search accepts Last Name, First Name, TDCJ Number, SID Number, Gender, and Race. A TDCJ or SID number is preferable to a name-only query. TDCJ says the database updates on working days and is at least 24 hours old.

Input or channelBest use
TDCJ or SID numberMost precise web-search identifier for a state custody record.
Name, gender, and raceBroader discovery when the identifier is unknown; verify the match carefully.
Projected Release DateA calculation if parole does not happen sooner, not proof of completed release.
pia@tdcj.texas.govFree inmate-information request for location, offense, incarceration history, and projected date; no photographs.
936-295-6371 or 800-535-0283Inmate locator and general information, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
TDCJ PIAHistorical release or discharge records not established by a public web result.

The evidence does not establish a permanent online result for every discharged former prisoner or promise a reliable “Released/Discharged” archive. For historical state release, ask TDCJ for incarceration, release, or discharge information. A Delta County detainee who bonded out and never entered TDCJ will not appear merely because the underlying case was a felony.

Delta County Release, Parole, and Probation

The Board of Pardons and Paroles decides parole and mandatory supervision, while the TDCJ Parole Division supervises people released under those mechanisms. Delta County falls within the Paris District Parole Office, Region I, at 3905 North Main Street, Paris, Texas 75460, telephone 903-785-4492. It can verify assignment or reporting for a known TDCJ supervision case, not a county-jail booking-out event.

Before a vote, use TDCJ Parole Review Information or call 844-512-0461. After a favorable vote, call 512-406-5202 about release processing. An FI vote may set a future month or require a program, so approval is not proof that the prison door event occurred.

Ordinary probation belongs to the sentencing court and Community Supervision and Corrections Department, not TDCJ Parole Division. No statewide public probation-person lookup was substantiated. The distinctions among parole, mandatory supervision, probation, and discharge are covered in the Delta County parole and probation guide.

Delta County Release Alerts and Registry Limits

Texas replaced county VINE with Texas IVSS–Counties on September 1, 2025, and existing VINE registrations transferred. The current service can send phone, text, or email notices for booking, release, court events, death, escape, or transfer to TDCJ. Support is available around the clock at 866-268-8959.

Not all counties participate, and Delta participation was not independently confirmed in the research. The portal can omit a person already out of custody, so no result does not prove release. Preserve any alert with its time, event label, system, and source agency, then obtain the custodian's release or transfer record. TDCJ IVSS is a separate state-prison and parole service.

The Texas DPS sex-offender registry is relevant only when Chapter 62 registration applies. It may show submitted identity, address, photograph, and conviction information, but it is not a general Delta County released inmate list and does not prove a jail-door timestamp.

Expunction and Delta County Release Record Access

Texas moved expunction law into Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A effective January 1, 2025. Release, completion of a sentence, or completion of supervision does not automatically produce expunction. Eligibility depends on the exact statutory route, such as an acquittal, actual-innocence pardon, or a qualifying dismissal or no-charge outcome with its waiting period.

An expunction order can override ordinary retention and access. Juvenile, sealed, medical, identification, and other confidential information may also be withheld or redacted. Readers should describe the record obtained and avoid drawing a broad legal conclusion from a missing file. The current Chapter 55A and advice from a qualified legal professional are the appropriate sources for an individual eligibility question.

Federal Release Records for Delta County Cases

No federal prison or documented ICE detention facility was found within Delta County. Physical placement still may differ from legal custody. The U.S. Marshals Service reports that most federal prisoners in its custody stay in state, local, or private facilities. A person occupying a local jail bed may therefore be a USMS prisoner rather than a county detainee.

Before BOP designation, use the federal docket, the local jail holding the person, and the responsible USMS district because USMS has no public name locator comparable to BOP. After entry into federal prison, search the BOP Inmate Locator by register number when possible. A “Not in BOP custody” result does not distinguish release, transfer, writ, supervised release, or a different custodian.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator is the official BOP search source represented in this successful manifest image.

The federal locator answers only BOP custody questions, not Delta County jail custody.

For immigration custody, use ICE ODLS with the nine-digit A-number and country of birth when known, or identity data. Released entries remain searchable for only 60 days. Contact the responsible ERO field office to distinguish community release, transfer, or removal.

Where Delta County Released Inmates Appear

The correct source depends on both time and custodian. Treat each system as evidence about its own scope, then use the official event record for confirmation.

Delta County Release Facility

Delta County Jail is the only facility in the resolved county facility list. It is operated by the Delta County Sheriff's Office. A person can leave for the community under recorded authority or transfer to another custodian, but the destination must be confirmed for the individual booking. A dated Hopkins County example proves cross-county placement can happen; it does not establish a current blanket arrangement.

No TDCJ unit, BOP prison, or documented ICE detention center was found inside Delta County. A Delta sentence can still lead to a TDCJ unit elsewhere, and a federal or immigration authority can house a person beyond the county. The county transfer paper establishes departure from Delta; the receiving system establishes what happened next.
